Armet | Knightly helmet XV-XVIth Century | Steel C45 2 mm
The Armet is a full knightly helmet developed in Italy in the 15th century, which quickly gained popularity across Europe, including France, Spain, and England. It was part of a full suit of armor, used both in foot combat and on horseback, and is distinguished by its closed design providing full protection for the head, face, and neck.
Characteristic features of the Armet include hinged cheek plates and a movable visor, allowing for easy putting on and removing the helmet, while still offering maximum protection during combat. Its design minimized gaps in head protection, making it one of the most effective helmets of its era.
The Armet remains a popular choice for historical reenactment as well as HMB and Buhurt sport combat, combining authentic appearance with safety and comfort.
The helmet is handmade to measure, with the possibility of custom fitting, choosing the finish, mail aventail, and additional accessories.
