The original Wawel bascinet was acquired in 1961 from the collection of Brunon Konczakowski, a merchant from Cieszyn. His extensive arms and armor collection, amassed between the 1890s and 1930s, included over 400 unique pieces, making this bascinet a remarkable part of Wawel Castle’s historical treasures.
