Bascinet helmet with a cross (14th–15th century)

The riveted mail protects the face, neck, and nape, faithfully reflecting the solutions used in medieval helmets. The mail is sewn and finished to avoid interference with wearing the helmet or causing chafing.

Under the mail, a modern protective bar has been added in the eye slots and beneath the mail. This feature was not present on the historical helmet that this model is based on – it was introduced solely to improve safety during HMB combat.
