The bevor is a piece of plate armour designed to protect the chin, lower part of the face, and the front of the neck. In this model, it forms part of the neck protection and features a movable, segmented construction that adapts to the movements of the head and neck. This design ensures effective protection while maintaining freedom of movement, which is particularly important both in combat and during historical reenactments.
The element is made of durable steel, and its lower edge is gently shaped and finished with a pointed tip. This form enhances the overall appearance of the armour, reflects historical 16th-century designs, and allows for better integration with other pieces of armour.
The bevor is secured in place by a leather strap fastened at the back of the neck, ensuring stability and comfort in use. It works well with other elements of armour and fits sallet-type helmets, providing cohesive protection for the head and neck in a historical style.
