Steel Gorget with Articulated Collar – a piece of plate armor from the 15th-17th century, protecting the neck and upper chest. The articulated collar allowed movement of the head and shoulders, providing protection against cuts and blows to the neck, and worked in combination with bascinet, salada, or armet helmets. This type of gorget was used both on foot and on horseback, combining protection with comfort and practical use in full plate armor.
